The questions below were designed to encourage you to synthesize what you have learned throughout the course and to articulate it in written form. Your answers should demonstrate your knowledge of the readings and lectures from the entire course. In order to answer the questions adequately, you will have to review relevant readings and lecture notes and summarize this material, as well as, provide anecdotal examples for discussion. Be sure to answer the questions completely and thoroughly!

1. One term that I mentioned as being important to communication is context. What is context when it comes to communication and why is it so important? Using examples from the course (it could be discussions we had in class or topics from the text book) discuss at least three ways that contexts can drastically change communication.

2. Throughout the course we have discussed ways that communication and culture are two closely linked concepts. We see this link in groups, organizations, relationships, and on the societal level. Discuss at least three ways that communication and culture are linked providing examples for each of the three ways.

3. What is mass media? What is digital media? How is each form different? Are they similar? If so, how? Please provide lots! of examples in your discussion.
