Order Description
A 40 year old diabetic female having a forefoot amputation
Hillary has been admitted to the Surgical Unit for amputation of her forefoot. Hillary has had 2 toes previously amputated. She is a Type 1 diabetic and in times of stress she often has erratic Blood Glucose control.

Outlining two (2) potential problems (complications) associated with the diseased state and cues (signs and symptoms) the nurse would look for to prevent worsening of the person’s health status (e.g. a leg ulcer and it becomes infected, early cues increased pain & exudate, increased slough in wound base, peri wound redness & odour and you role would be to take a wound swab and inform the Dr)
Please use
Infection of the wound and
DVT
as the 2 potential problems

also please read the attached and I need to have a conclusion done for the attachments and the section that you are doing
this needs to be a 2 minute talk
and needs to be referenced in APA
Cheers
Melinda
