A Portfolio of Evidence Which would lead to the development & implementation of a Sustainability Policy and Procedures in a workplace. In particular the evidence must include :
1. Define “SCOPE” of the sustainability policy.
2. “INFORMATION” gathered from a range of source to plan and develop policy.
3. Identification and consultation of “STAKEHOLDERS” as a key component of the policy development process.
4. Include appropriate “STRATEGIES” in policy at all stages of work for minimizing resource use,reducing toxic material and hazardous chemical use and employing life cycle management approaches.
5. Make recommendations for policy options based on likely effectiveness, “TIMEFRAMES AND COST”.
6. Policy development that reflects the organization’s commitment to sustainability as an “INTEGRAL PART OF BUSINESS PLANNING”.
7. “AGREEMENT” with stakeholders on policy & procedures to be implemented.
8. “COMMUNICATIONS & PROMOTIONS” to those involved in implementing the policy outlining the activities to be undertaken, and outcomes expected etc.
9.”DOCUMENT” outcomes and provide feedback to key personnel and stakeholders.
10. “INVESTIGATE SUCCESSES” or otherwise policy
11. “MONITOR RECORDS TO IDENTIFY TRENDS” that may require remedial action.
12. “MODIFY POLICY” and procedures as required “TO ENSURE CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENTS”.
