A sonnet about love
Write a sonnet that has 14 lines, and is a lyric poem which expresses the personal mood, feeling or meditation of a single speaker about love, especially about problems in love. It needs to have a title related to the topic of the poem and is written in iambic pentameter. It needs to have the following verses and rhyme schemes: an octave or octet (8 lines) rhymed ‘abab cdcd’ which states a problem, dilemma or question, followed by a sestet (6 lines) which rhymes ‘efef gg’ and states the resolution to the problem. The sonnet has to be original and uses at least 3 poetic devices. It can depend on only one use of ‘poetic license’.
