Abnormal Psychology Project-Character Case Study
Each student will choose a movie or book character and will provide a case study, which will include the following:
1. History of character
2. Environment in which the character currently exists
3. Current presenting issues of the character
4. Diagnosis and Evidence supporting conclusions
5. Resources available to assist character
Grade:
Each student will find and summarize at least one journal article on the case study. Information should come from professional journals or books to support your case study. Create a word document with the references and notes from the sources in APA formatting. The word document will be submitted by each individual on Blackboard using SafeAssign. Revisions can be made to the Journal Article Summary and it can be reposted. The final submission of the Journal Article Summary will be incorporated into the final grade. The Journal Article Summary is worth 50 and the Case Study Paper is worth 100 points. Each student will be responsible for turning in their own article summaries with references. Some of the criteria used in grade determination will include: research quality, interpretation of research, project content, synthesis and balance of information presented, organization and presentation of paper, and personal reaction to topic. All projects must reflect original work by the students in this course. Materials for this project must be used only for this project in this course. Academic dishonesty or plagiarism will result in punishment ranging from failure of the assignment to failure in the course.
