Order Description
1. Analyse the impact of Australian colonisation on Indigenous peoples. Discuss the impact of the experiences, and forced cultures and values on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples both in the past and today e.g. the impact of dispossession, segregation, assimilation and the Stolen Generation.
2. Analyse relevant cultural issues for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in relation to schooling e.g. cultural concepts such as the dreaming and relations to the land which influence Indigenous world views, diversity within Indigenous peoples and cultures, the impact of racist discourses in the classroom.
