If you had been an explorer in between 1400-1600, what country would you have represented, what would have been your personal and country goals and how would you have achieved them?

Please discuss your thoughts on the actions taken by the colonists between 1760-1775 in the Pre Revolutionary Era. Be sure to keep in mind that not all colonists were rebelling against the mother country. Would you have been a loyalist or a patriot?
