Write an Analytical Essay that answers the following question:

In Plessy v. Ferguson, the Supreme Court enshrined into constitutional law the doctrine of “separate but equal” in1896.  How did this segregation or as it was known, Jim Crow, define the social, political and economic context of the United States during the first half of the 20th century, either by practice or by law?

Your interpretive analysis of this vital question must:
