American Government (FAIR LABOR STANDARD ACT)

Sketch of final paper to be critiqued by class. Create an outline of your final paper for class critique with a minimum of three pieces of data/research for each point, bibliography, and visual aids.
Approaching this paper: There are federal laws about many things. (FAIR LABOR STANDARD ACT LAW) and then look for a federal law in that area ( not a state or city law). For example an aviation law, going back a hundred years their were no aviation laws but there were transportation laws, laws governing businesses, population moves from country to small town and cities – why were any of the laws you presented passed in Congress, what problem(s) were they created to solve? You must follow this trail at least a hundred years before the law was passed
Laws are supposed to solve problems – sometimes they work, sometimes they fail or create new problems, e.g. Prohibition – what were the reasons it was passed – how did we get to the point?
This is a research paper and so does not include personal opinions or observations. Your intuition or opinion may lead you to a point but once there you are asked for substantial evidence from other objective sources. Avoid these words: I think, people think, it was a good idea (why?) it is obvious, common sense, I’ve always felt, always, never, most people say, etc. Your grade will depend on objective support for your points.
Final paper’s contents: discuss the development (focus on causes and effects) of a federal law. The evolution of a variety of events that led to this law should be traced backward at least 100 years. Include two causes that seem to have no direct effect in the final law. Prepare a five-page paper with a minimum of three pieces of data/research per point, bibliography, and visual aids
