TASK – BUSINESS PLAN PRESENTATION

As part of this assessment, you group is required to perform a presentation about your organisation. At the end of the presentation, there will be around 5 minutes to answer the questions by your classmates and the trainer.

The group will need to give a convincing presentation on how and why your business plan will be successful. Each member of the team should comment on his or her section of expertise or the section they produced within the business plan.

Your assessor will assess and document the presentation of your business plan using an observation checklist.

This project will enable you to practice a real-world application of course material. We have incorporated this project for several reasons.

To Think Strategically and Critically and Apply the Course Material – This project will give you some insight into thinking strategically – thinking for the long term. Our goal in this course is to encourage you to ask questions, probe for information, and analyse what is available to you. You will never have perfect information, but you can learn to make logical decisions based on the information and resources available to you.

To Enhance Communication Skills – Communication skills are of primary importance in the business world. Communication skills include verbal, written, and nonverbal skills. There is no profession or organisation that exists that does not require good communications. An idea, thought, suggestion, etc. is only as good as your ability to communicate that idea factually, accurately, and truthfully, while, at the same time, making your message interesting and attractive to those who are listening.

To Gain Leadership skills – The ability to take responsibility for actions and to be accountable for the outcomes of those actions, to form a vision and move on it, to motivate and inspire are all characteristics of great leaders.

Your Presentation should contain the followings:

– The business background

– The information on products or services

– Snapshot of Marketing Plan

– Snapshot of Operational Plan

– Snapshot of Organisational Plan

– Snapshot of Financial Plan

– How the performance measurement systems will be tested
