Abstract: Map-Reduce are a conventional database model widely used to manage big data sets for implementing the parallel programs. MapReduce offers data locality services where the data transfer becomes easier. The data sets are filtered and sorted using map functions that in turn offer security to the data files. The MapReduce is a type of database that is being used to write different programs for processing the unstructured data formats that are connected with processor clusters. Different map functions are being used in order to resolve the issues of data storage and security across the databases.
The key added benefit of MapReduce database is that it is a fault-tolerant database that offers high security to the data where the nodes present the cluster gives regular updates about the data files managed in the database. In this paper, the critical analysis is being carried out to explain the core features and activities involved in the MapReduce database. The other side of the paper deals with the role played by MapReduce database in managing the big data files. In this paper, the critical review is being conducted on scope, importance and features seen in MapReduce non-relational database.
