You have a world of topics to choose from, and a variety of ways to perform a content analysis. To propose a topic and method of analysis, briefly answer the following three prompts: Topic: In one paragraph, describe a question you have that can be answered by an analysis of mass media messages. Why is this issue IMPORTANT? Sample: Tell me what messages you plan to analyze. How will you choose them, and how many will you analyze? (Remember, you want to look at enough messages to make meaningful conclusions from.) Analysis: How, specifically, will you analyze your messages? IOW, what will you be counting? Or what categories will you be assigning messages into? Or what other plan do you have?
