Analyze the final outcomes of the team effort

Must be in a power point (minimum 20 slides with pictures not including the title slide and reference slide) and research paper (APA format 10 pages not including the title page and reference page)

Need to study one successful or unsuccessful team situation and analyze the final outcomes of the team effort in respect to what went wrong or what was done right to facilitate the outcome according to the principles iterated in the Emotional Intelligence text.

To select this team situation, you can:

– Research the internet for companies that have been studied with regards to their HR practices – good examples would be Starbucks or Zappos

– Draw from past or current news stories on incidents that have involved team work as a key factor in the outcome – good examples would be the Chile mine collapse or the search for Malaysia flight 370

– Or chose another appropriate approach

This exercise will be completed in a Power Point presentation as if the individual were presenting it as a lesson for the rest of the class.

The minimum guidelines for the presentation are:

– Title Slide

– Background on the team selected

– What went right; what went wrong; or combination of both

– Outcome

– Takeaways as a leader/ discussion of Emotional Intelligence principles at work if appropriate

– References slide
