Analyzing Linda Pastan “Marks” and Jamacia Kincaid “Girl” then create an argumentative thesis stating what literary devices the authors used such as style, tone, theme, etc and use an outsource to support your thesis. The thesis should revolve around the pressures of motherhood or motherhood causing loss of identity or stereotypical judgments mothers face. The essay must include intro, 3 paragraph points including block quotes, poem structure paragraphs, conclusion and works cited. I am attaching the instructions, structure template, and my incomplete essay to provide an idea of the argument I was hoping to make. I have included the citing and three quotes from an outside source which i was trying to use but feel free to pick a different source(s).
