APA Style Research Paper:
The student will select a topic related to rehabilitation–either vocational, psychosocial or independent living–and develop a six (6) to eight (8) page report on the topic selected. The report will be based on no fewer than five (5) sources of information (references), such as textbooks, journal articles, doctoral dissertations, monographs, and books other than textbooks. The report should summarize information from the reference material, and provide the reader with an understanding of the topic and surrounding issues. References cited should have been published within the last ten (10) years. The only exception to the 10-year rule would be if the source is a seminal work on the topic to provide background. An example of a seminal source of information on a topic would be the article on supported employment by Wehman and Kregel (1985); this was the first article reporting supported employment as a new type, innovative service for people with disabilities.
