In learning about the various oils and medium, you have a greater knowledge of the processes and materials used to create a work of art.
Each work of art and each artist uses the medium that they feel will best express their ideas and the message to be conveyed through the work of art. So the message is
more than just the image seen but the materials used also convey ideas to the viewer.
