PAPER OVERVIEW
The ability to effectively compare and contrast similar objects is an everyday part of both our personal and professional lives. It is useful for learning technical writing skills because it involves both description and analysis.
These may be two cities where you have lived, two colleges you have attended, two species of animals. In choosing your quantities, be sure that they are similar enough to allow a meaningful comparison, but different enough to provide a significant contrast.
prepare your Comparison/Contrast report of 500-1000 words on a pair of similar consumer products (fast-food hamburgers, laundry detergent, yogurt, running shoes, pizza, etc.). Please do not write about phones.
Be sure to make a recommendation in your conclusion. Which product should someone buy?
Remember: do not use first person “I” or second person “you.”
