Australian Wine Industry – Discussion

Australia had a grand plan. They were going to be the leaders of wine production in the world. Since this overly confident statement a couple of years ago they have been hit with many droughts that have dried up the Murray, Darling and Murrumbidgee rivers. This week in Wine Spectator it was reported that last year there were 100 million bottles unsold – that is equivalent to their UK export figures. In a discussion forum state two strategies that they must now adopt to keep their plan on track and to move away from quantity and more towards quality.
