Book Précis
Each student enrolled in History 101 will complete a written précis of Ferguson’s book, Civilization: The West and the Rest. Your précis must be between 1200 and 1500
words and should include the following:
1). A brief summary of the main points of the book.
2). A discussion of the book’s thesis.
3). A discussion of the author’s sources.
4). A discussion on whether or not you agree with the author
