Assessment: Brand Case Study
2500 word case study
The choice of case study is for students to decide but it must be an International Brand and could include the following:
• An analysis of a specific brand (Apple, Starbucks, Louis Vuitton, Zara, H&M, Prada, McDonalds, Harry Potter, Nike, Red Bull, BMW, Tagheuer, etc.)
• An analysis of a brand category (luxury/status brands, design brands, innovation brands, emotion brands, muscle brands).
• The analysis of a branding approach (citing relevant brand examples) such as brand identity, brand management, corporate branding or guerrilla advertising.
• OR A case study of a failed brand.
(If possible, try to include a part in Singapore market or any relevant information.)

Components of the Case Study
The case study must contain the following:
• Definitions of branding drawn from relevant branding literature
• A reference to two or more of Ries and Ries’ laws of branding
• A discussion of brand identity as it relates to the chosen brand
• A referenced main body that consists of a detailed discussion of the brand selected
• An evaluative conclusion of the subject of the case study (the individual brand, category, or branding approach selected)
• A bibliography presented in accordance to the Harvard referencing system
