Burns’ Transformational Leadership Theorypaper will be between 2-3 pages on a leadership theory of interest studied during the course. This page count does not include the title page, abstract, tables, graphics, and reference pages. (I do not require an abstract). The papers must meet the following conditions: (1) identify the theory and individuals associated with the selected theory; (2) provide a clear description and/or conceptual illustration of the theory; (3) select at least two current peer-reviewed journal articles, books, report, etc. based on the selected theory and provide a summary of the findings; and (4) provide at least one idea for describing a condition or situation where behaviors associated with the selected theory may be considered for effective leadership practice.
The APA (6th Ed.) is the guiding manual for form and style for these papers. Each student is expected to find relevant, recent, and credible research; majority of this is no older than 5 years. Under no circumstances will references from dictionaries or encyclopedias be accepted as references, including online sources such as Wikipedia. No more than 15% of your paper should be from direct quotes. No references can be listed on the reference page that does not first appear in the text of your paper. Please make all papers double-spaced, and enumerated on the top right corner in the margin with 1″ margins. Please use Times New Roman; 12 point font.
Grading Guidelines(25pts)
– Identify the theory and those associated with the theory
-Provide a clear description of the theory/conceptual illustration
-2 CURRENT(within last 5 yrs) articles, books,etc. related to the said theory; APA format
-Provide at least one idea for describing a condition or situation where behaviors associated with the theory can be considered effective leadership practices.
