This assigment weighs 50% of the course. So assignment needs to be done in detail. Using the keywords in the document attached is very important and they need to be highlighted.

This ” business idea ” was the initial assignment i posted and this one is the final assignment of the same idea. I got 40% with that. So this new one has to be way better.

WUF APP is a social platform for Dog owners enabling users to match and socialize their pets. WUF APP seeks to provide everything a dog owner would need over Android and IOS devices for North America and Canada. The main idea behind this product is more for educating people about their pets and introducing this product to users in order to help pets socialize.

WUF APP was an idea that three friends came up with including myself around august 2016. As a whole, this is a new product to market. However, since this is an application, we are not offering a brand new product to the market or we are not introducing a new technology. What we did was putting together the existing technologies and products in the market that are related to our business model and idea, improve the existing ones and create few new features that will distinguish us from the other products in the market and competitors.

Users will be able to post adds of their pets for breeding or adoption. Users will be able to add other users as friends and contact for socializing purposes. There will be daily notifications sent to users for educational purposes and other notifications about current discounts for pet supplies. Over the application, users would be able to see where the closest pet shop or in case of an emergency, where the closest pet hospital is with contact information. Users can also see which parks are dog friendly and over the map section in the application, users can see other users that are online on the map.

Some of these features already exist. Some of them are being introduced to the market with our product for the first time. What makes us different is that that we offer everything that already exist with new features no other product have in a better way in one single Application.

In order to develop this idea, we started working with an application development company. Initial investment for this start-up was 20.000 CAD. After the product is delivered, there will be need for one software developer for daily updates and fixing potential issues. At first, customer service will be through e-mails. Two employees will be hired. There will be no rent or physical office space expenses since everything is being done by computers. Marketing is very critical for our product. People need to know at the right time in a right way about our product. All marketing of our product will be done by two separate marketing companies one for social media; Facebook, twitter, instagram and another for physical marketing; flyers, kiosks etc. For the first year, excluding the initial investment, other expenses including the marketing and employees are projected to be around 4500CAD per month.

In USA and Canada, there is over 13 million pet owners. This is a big market and this number represents the potential users of our application. Required investment is a fraction of the potential return the product can bring in terms of profits. Investment is made by us. With the competitive position of our product by offering the existing products in the market in a better way by offering new features over one single channel, WUF APP holds competitive advantage and we assume finding an investor would not be a problem.
This application is for current dog owners, potential dog owners.We will do business with pet-industry related supplier and manufacturers by putting their advertisements in our application and on other various channels. Aldo with pet shops and pet clinics are our potential customers. We will be getting advertisements from them as well. We will be a platform where dog walkers, sitters etc. can post ads to make business. Since there is a map show where the dogs walk the most, these data can be sold to government for them to see where to clean.
This is the general layout of the idea, but according to the outline and all the assignment requirements, feel free to add or change things to make the assignment better.
