Networking serves an integral part in power and politics in today’s world, both within and amongst organizations. Networking involves developing a mutually beneficial relationship with someone else. “You scratch my back; I’ll scratch yours.”
This can take place on a personal or organizational level. In a business sense, this relationship might be with someone else in your organization, with a vendor, or someone else outside of your organization.
