Description1. The research should develop a critical appreciation and discuss the emerging selected
issue with regards to international logistics and supply chain operations, and how the
selected issue will affect the next generation of international logistics systems and their
performance.
2. You need to base your argument on a literature review about the impact of the selected
issue to international logistics, supply chain operations and their performance and use
contrasting examples to support the analysis and discussion.
3. It is required to produce a report to discuss relevant literature to inform your own opinion.
The report should include the following key elements:
a. A critical review of literature regarding the selected issue and the impact to
international logistics and operations performance management evaluation
b. Identification of key performance measurement criteria that could be used for the
operations in the international context and related industries or sectors including
ports which your example(s) will sit in, and what are the current performance
issues within the industries or sectors?
c. Illustrate with an example to show how your approach can best solve the
performance issues that you have identified.
4. You should obtain, analyse and apply information from a variety of sources, including
publicly available material. This should have a mix of Journal papers, books, articles in
magazines, websites, company brochures, newspapers, etc.Requirements for the Report
1. Word limit 2500 (+/- 10%) excluding the list of references, and annexes, the font should be
Times New Roman 12-point 1.5 line spacing. The group report will be submitted via
Moodle module site by the team leader.
2. The report has to be accompanied by a list of references used for the report and
presentation which must include a balanced variety of suitable sources e.g. textbooks,
academic journals and webpages. All references should follow the Harvard referencing
system.
