Thesis of the paper: This paper evaluates the study of Sinophone through the Sinitic films ( Cape No.7, Ten Years) and literature (The Fat Years, Winter Nights) outside standard China together with the ethnic minority’s communities and other cultures within the china. The texts show how interrelated historical processes lead to the formation of linguistic diversity and cultural difference within the Chinese communities, some of which maintain a precarious and problematic relation to China.
