Expected to choose a public health policy in the UK and explore how it may be underpinned by and promotes, behaviour change theory and behaviour change (1000 words).
You will need to demonstrate;  Understanding of the increasing importance of health-related behaviour change  Demonstration of an awareness of health-related behaviour change theories in the context of public health  Demonstration of knowledge and understanding of the use behaviour change theory in public health policy and how this may or may not address behaviours formed as part of primary and secondary socialisation.
Essay criteria • Demonstrate ability to articulate what health-related behaviour and health-related behaviour change is; • Demonstrate ability to understand and articulate the difference between proximal and distal predictors; • Show awareness of the advantages of health-related behaviour change strategies; • Show awareness of the barriers to health-related behaviour change strategies; • Show awareness of its impact on public health policy and strategy and interventions.
This is an academic presentation or essay, i.e. it needs structure, references, be written well and above all it needs to address the question. Applying nudge theory only.
