Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
Each Mini-Case Study should be approximately 3 – 5 single spaced, font size = 11, pages in length OR a minimum of 1500 words (a minimum of 4 references is required – I recommend that they should be obtained from secondary sources). Your pathophysiological mini-case study MUST HAVE the following components:

Introduction: Provide a discussion of the assigned disease. Describe the necessary anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the disease allowing the reader to understand the underlying etiology of the disease. Be sure to define all terms and concepts and provide a rationale of the disorder.

Diagnosis and Treatment: Identify and explain the specific characteristics of the disease including signs, symptoms, and laboratory findings that are supportive of a diagnosis of the disease. (Never, ever just list items, BUT ALWAYS summarize the signs/symptoms/findings and then provide a brief explanation of why they are related to the pathophysiology). Briefly identify and explain the common interventions, therapies, or treatments for the disorder in respect to the pathophysiology of the disorder and the health of the patient.

References: Cite your references utilized for the study using APA 6th ed. style formatting. In-line citation is NOT required for this project, but is recommended for information present from a primary source. Only primary (original research articles) and secondary sources (journal reviews, clinical reviews, the textbook, and clinical texts) are legitimate sources.
