Why Community College Should Be Free
Order instructions:
The paper is a research paper with three policies on why community colleges should be free. Each policy needs for and counterarguments. I have to conclude to one policy as a solution. The paper has to be 4 to 10 pages.
Final Paper: Researched Position Paper
At least four pages and not more than ten pages, plus a Works Cited page, formatted as required.
A strong title that invites reader interest.
An introductory paragraph which closes with a thesis statement. For this paper, the thesis statement should begin with the words “This paper will.”
At least three policy possibilities, with advantages and disadvantages of each policy.
Clear documentation of facts, with citations in the text in keeping with MLA style.
A Works Cited page formatted as discussed in class and as represented in the Sample Works Cited page (posted separately on Blackboard).
Clear advocacy of a specific policy. This should include demonstrated awareness of possible opposition to the proposal through a counter-argument, as well as
strong defense of the proposed policy.
Use of ethos via strong sources and strong writing, use of pathos through presentation of the human effects of the issue, and use of logos through a logical presentation of the reasons for accepting your proposal over other possible policy outcomes.
GENERAL OUTLINE

Exposition of other policy possibilities, including the strengths and weaknesses of each policy.
Possible arrangements include:
Policy 1: descriptions and strengths of the policy
Policy 2: descriptions and strengths of the policy.
Policy 1 and 2: weaknesses of the policies
Another possible arrangement:
Policy 1: description of policy with strengths and weaknesses
Policy 2: description of policy with strengths and weaknesses
Policy Proposal: Description of policy, presentation of counter-arguments to the policy, and
final, strong advocacy of the policy
Conclusion: summary and possible reiteration of the proposed outcome.
