Capstone Journal Entry 8 (Week 9)

QOD:

Company policy mandates that users (including admins) cannot install software on Company PCs. A GPO enforces that for users but not administrators. One weekend you
came across a cool utility that you would like to test in your environment. What do you do???

Goals were set of the tasks to be completed by the end of Wednesday’s class and were marked on the board to be checked off to ensure completion. There was only one
major goal for me to accomplish. My goal was to continue with configuring Hyper-V on both of the Site 2 PCs. I decided to start by created a Windows Server 2012 R2
bootable USB created and installed it on the Site 2 PCs. I removed the previous Hyper-V install. Daniel and I both decided that it would be much easier to install
Hyper-V as a Server Role. I am currently in the process of the adding the File and Print Server to Site 2 Hyper-V PC 1. I asked Mark about which static IP Address I
should use for Hyper-V and add it to our Site 2 cut sheet. He mentioned to me that the IP Address should be as follows.
Hyper-V S2 PC 1: 10.2.4.201 and Hyper-V S2 PC 2: 10.2.4.202. The Hyper-V Site 2 PCs naming scheme is as follows. One is named CRHV01 and other is named CRHV02.
Hyper-V does not have network connectivity to the outside world. I am not sure if we need to have network connectivity to the outside world. I mentioned this to
Lester, my virtualization teacher and he advised me that he would like to see what I mean that Hyper-V has no network connectivity to the outside world, so he can help
out with troubleshooting this further and give some advice.

As a team we received our positive feedbacks from Stephanie our Project Manager about our 2nd Peer Evaluations. According to Stephanie, this is by far the best
Capstone Group that she has worked with. She likes that there is no negativity from any of the team members at all. We discussed in our 5-minute team meeting about the
How To Troubleshoot Assignment that we need to complete individually. We all decided to get a head start on this assignment as it is coming due in Week 10. This week
we also got started on our setting up implementing our teams Extra Services of doing a Radius Server. This is the extra service that all of us team members agreed on
implementing.
Daniel assured us that he will advise us once the Week 9 drafts are submitted and send a reminder of the tasks due this week.
