You may choose to research poems by Rafael Guillen or Octavio Paz (both Mexican poets) to compare and contrast with your choice of one of the following Mexican/American poets:

  • Gary Soto
  • Juan Felipe Herrera
  • Jimmy Santiago Baca

You will need to research these poets to find their poems on search engines and/or through the MACU library online.
