Starting on page 1-8 of FEMA’s Comprehensive Preparedness Guide 101 is a discussion of planning considerations related to prevention, protection, response, recovery, and mitigation. These areas of focus are also DHS mission areas and differ slightly from long-standing emergency management phases of preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation. Spend a few minutes reviewing pages 1-8 through 1-10 of CPG-101 and share your initial thoughts. Consider sharing any planning experiences you have been part of and whether or not it was related to the recommendations in the CPG. Minimum 250 words.
