LAB ACTIVITY A-1 Wellness Reflection: How Far Have You Come?

Reflect on your experiences during your wellness course by answering the following
questions.

Wellness Knowledge and Attitudes: What are some of the most surprising and relevant
things you’ve learned about fitness and wellness? Have you learned any new skills in
terms of critical analysis or consumer choices? Has what you’ve learned had an
impact on your attitudes toward wellness? On your choices? If so, how
Wellness Behaviors: Think about all your wellness-related behaviors. Are you more
aware of them now? Are
you more likely to think before you act? Have any of your habits changed during
your wellness course? How and why? If possible, repeat Lab Activity 1-1 to see if
your score has changed.
Lifestyle Changes: Have you engaged in a behavior-change program of any kind? If
so, describe the goals and progress of your program, including the strategies you
used and the key challenges you encountered. In addition, describe how you felt
about the process and the change you tried to make. How successful were you? How
did your efforts make you feel? Do you think you’ll stick with your new behavior
after the class is over? Why or why not?

Dimensions of Wellness: Think about your status for each of the wellness
dimensions. What are your well- ness strengths and weaknesses? How has your
evaluation changed since the beginning of the course? Review the results of Lab
Activity 1-2 if you completed it, and indicate what wellness strengths you’ve added
and whether you would raise any of your wellness dimension scores.

Where Will You Go from Here? What are your major goals and aspirations? Where do
you see yourself ten years in the future?

How does your current lifestyle match up to the image you have for your future? How
will your current wellness strengths and positive behaviors help you achieve your
goals? Could any of your current habits hold you back? List both your key strengths
and positive behaviors and the areas where you need to improve. Make plans now to
support your positive behaviors and make changes in any negative ones.
