The context diagram and the level 0 diagram

The context diagram and the level 0 diagram/ Management Information Sys

The context diagram and the level 0 diagram (next level up).

The context diagram ONLY depicts the system in the middle, with inputs on the left and outputs on the right.

The Level 0 diagram shows the data stores (data bases) in the center of the diagram, processes (numbered as shown in the text) , and the entities outside of the processes. Arrows are drawn to show how data is moving from the entities, to the processes, and into the data stores. There needs to be text on the lines of the arrows describing what information is moving.

ATA FLOW PROCESS DESCRIPTION

Process 0 – When a 911 call comes into dispatch, the address information is pulled up from the database. Dispatch will transmit over the radio to the fire department for the location of the emergency. The fire department will pull the same information up regarding the address.

Process 1 – Once at the scene, the fire department will search for any patient information and/or history.

Process 2 – A new report will be generated regarding the patient and the performance that was conducted by the EMS employees.

DATA STORE DESCRIPTION

The TMIRS database stores all the existing reports for the addresses and patients for any emergency called in the past. There are different entities that require access to this database for duplicate storing and/or updating.
