This is the argument – The reality would be that racial profiling as well as the power and discretion of the police using their badges as bullies along with the prosecutors functioning with underlying biases have an affect on the black family as a whole. In addition, the racial impact of police and inequality of black men who are the pillars of the black family also have indirect consequences of mass incarceration, knowingly, the Supreme Court failed to provide meaningful remedies for the injustices in the criminal justice system. Clearly, these are causes and effects for the black family. There are no myths that are accurate that relates to the black family in regards to policing the black man at this time.
The paper should cover the following factors:
What is the social?
Who does it impact (specifically)?
Why does it matter? (Avoid platitudes here: “that’s messed up” etc. While it is undoubtedly messed up, that’s not a critical or evidence based thesis statement. What are its effects and how does that affect people and society at large?)
Name and discuss the traditional perspective (myths and stereotypes) on that issue
Provide compelling stories/counternarratives of individuals whose lives demonstrate the inaccuracies of myths,
