Create a Scope statement

1. Create a Scope statement. In the scope statement, you must define the deliverables, including the schedule, budget and product/service. You must define all stakeholders 2. According to the scope statement you have defined in step #1 above, define the WBS 3. Define all Resources that are needed for the project (include WORK and COST Resources) 4. Create a network diagram using the WBS from step #2 above 5. Using the Stakeholders defined in step #1 above, create a Responsibility Matrix (RACI or RASIC, exemplified on page 363 in the textbook)

Instruction
More and more people attend meditation retreats to reduce technology-induced stress in this fast-paced modern society (see the recent CNN report on the “10 of the world’s best retreat centers”).“PIT-Mindful” is a fictitious local retreat center in Pittsburgh that runs similar physical retreats but has not attracted people outside the Pittsburgh region. Its board of directors just commissioned this non-profit organization to innovate and to outreach out-of-the-region and even international contemplative practitioners through offering online retreat programs. Technology is a tool that doesn’t have to induce stress if designed and used mindfully. You have been hired as an outside IT consultant by PIT-Mindful and have been tasked with managing the project of creating innovative “online retreat programs” (at least comparable to physical retreats or even better). One of the programs must be up and running in 6 months. For this project, you may make any assumptions you like and are to create a report (in word or pdf) including but not limited to the following: 1. Using the Stakeholders defined in step #1 above, create a Responsibility Matrix (RACI or RASIC, exemplified on page 363 in the textbook) You must use Microsoft Project (either 2013 or 2016) to assist in this assignment. You should assign resources to your tasks. For some of the tasks, you may assign more than one resource. You must communicate well with PIT-Mindful. Organize the report with all of your findings effectively. You cannot assume stakeholders in PIT-mindful know how to open MS Project files. Please take screen shots (such as timeline, Cost, Resource Overview Report, Project Statistics, etc.) as you see fit and copy into your report.
