Introduction – A clear, strong and precise introduction is essential to a good (A) paper. It sets the tone for the rest of the paper and establishes your creditibility.
-State your topic. Be clear & direct. Avoid long, unwieldy sentences.
-Assert your position and how you are going to go about defending/proving it.
Body – The body of the paper is where you prove yourself and demonstrate how things are connected. Be sure that your evidence and argument is carefully organized and presented in a clear, cohesive manner so that the reader can follow it easily. Remember, it is your job to convince the reader, so do not risk losing them! Make your point precisely and argue it thoroughly before moving on.
Conclusion – Your conclusion should emphasize the significance of your findings. You may point to future research that builds upon ideas introduced in the paper, but avoid introducing new issues or entertain open ended questions. Leave things neat and tidy, as though a task is complete.
