This assignment is designed for you to critically examine policies toward substances abuse in the United States and other countries and develop your own views on how this social problem should be addressed. A truly drug free society has probably never existed and might never exist. In the past 100 years, worldwide governmental efforts have intensified to control certain substances. Yet, the war on drugs does not seem to have abated the abuse. In the past decades, Portugal has decriminalized and Holland has become “soft” on drugs. You need to write a fact sheet on each country including the United States concerning their drug policies. You need to have a minimum of 10 facts for each country. MUST BE A MINIMUM OF 3 PAGES.

Choose two prints: one by a Japanese woodblock printer from the lesson and one by a French Impressionist. Compare and contrast the works of each artist and note some of the influences that can be seen in the work of the Impressionist artist. (You can compare use of color. line, shape. depth, texture, mood or feeling, light/dark variations, subject manner etc.)
