Curriculum Approach Paper
Exploring the variety of curriculum approaches is an important learning process for all educators. This paper will give students the opportunity to delve deeper into a curriculum approach through information literacy and writing. Students will choose from one of the following curriculum approaches: Creative Curriculum, Emergent Curriculum, High Scope, Investigations: A Responsive Approach, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, The Project Approach & The Three “R” Approach and will write a 4 page paper on the approach (the 4 pages does not include the title page or reference page).
1. The paper must be written in APA style.
a. Title page
b. Introduction
c. Literature review
d. Conclusion
e. Reference page (2 references)
2. Two journal articles or one journal article and one book are required to reference
3. The paper should include the history of the model, the main philosophies of the approach, if the approach has benchmarks or standards to follow and how the approach is implemented.
4. You can only use 1 direct quote in the paper as most of the paper will be paraphrased.
5. All papers must be submitted to SafeAssign prior to the due date. Papers will not be graded until this process has taken place. Papers should be turned into Safe Assign BEFORE you attach the grading rubric.
