CW3:: Self – Reflection Professional Development Portfolio (50%)
This portfolio is a culmination of the learning during the course.. It will include the following:
A reflective essay of 2000 words that charts your learning journey throughout the course . You will specifically reflect on:
1) Progress against your 2 development goals – skill development goal established in CW1 and chosen job search activity which migh t include a networking event,, some work – shadowing, BSEO workshops completed, or Entrepreneur Pitch as examples
2) Your chosen industries/jobs and how you match up against these indicating any further development activity you need to achieve this job
3)
Any spec ific activities from the course that have helped you to grow and develop ( excluding the Group Task which you have already reflected on)
The reflective essay will follow the Kolb’s learning Cycle and is rooted in activity both in class and outside class.. You are asked to support your discussions with appropriate theory and support from your wider readings – both academic and blogs//news articles.
Evidence that must be attached include (notional 500 words):
• SWOT analysis – your own SWOT which you have develo ped in class and in your own time
• Career Development Plan 1 and 5 years
• STEM analysis – a personal skills analysis (see Moodle for template)
• Values Exercise – a personal values analysis (see Moodle for template/gguidelines)
• Vimeo /automated slide presentation with voice over on your own Unique Selling Points
• Screenshots of feedback on two other USP presentations
