Cybersecurity

2017 has been an interesting year of Cyberwarfare, security breaches & attacks, and legislation. Look for interesting/innovative news from 2017 on the front of CyberSecurity and summarize a case. Build a powerpoint/keynote deck addressing the case.  Answer the questions: Who are the actors? What were the actors objectives (declared or derived)? What norms or rules did they break? What strategy or strategies were used?  Was the strategy successful or not? Who did they work together with? How did they work together? How could the strategy be legitimately reused? What were/are the legal implications and/or legislation surrounding the topic? Provide all references and methodology used.

Requirements

Summarize your analysis in a set of no more than 5 PowerPoint slides. Use the main slides to communicate the key points in a concise and direct manner. Use the “notes” section on PowerPoint to add more detail and justification. The slides should (a) state the question your answering and (b) answer including a balanced perspective which explains both the rationale for the answer (the why).

The process for submitting your case study analysis is as follows:

• The file should be in Microsoft Powerpoint (.ppt or pptx) format.

Grading Criteria

• Correct selection of news material dated January 1, 2017 onward.
• Ability to answer all the stated questions in an integrated and comprehensive manner with original thought and perspective
• Ability to creatively and successfully apply class/legal materials
• Provides a balanced perspective that includes both pros and cons in the analysis
• Good use of the slide ‘deck’ as a medium of communication
