1) Log onto Oracle Server
2) The data for this exercise is stored in two tables (divvy.station and divvy.trip). After logging into your account, use SQL to analyze the data.
3) Based on the data, create an ER Diagram (Create Entities, Attributes and Relationships). Use the tool at www.erdplus.com for this purpose.
4) Upon completion of ER Diagram, examine each column and determine if it is a fact or a dimension and group them accordingly. Enter the findings (various facts- list of columns, various dimensions – list of columns) in an Excel file.
5) I am not looking for surrogate keys at this time so just concentrate on the columns in the dataset itself.
– Submit an excel file with dimensions and facts columns. Also, submit a word document with the picture of ER Model.
