Recent events like the shootings in Orlando have highlighted the need for more emphasis on dealing with internal threats. Is DHS ready for this challenge? Does it have the necessary authorities or must the organization rely on other government agencies for support? Do fusion centers and other similar multi-organizational constructs for information sharing and analysis help?
