Describe your area of expertise-Discussion topic “Short Writing Activity – Short Illustration”:
In this week’s short writing activity, you should describe, in two to three paragraphs, something about which you are an expert. In the past, I’ve had students who had won awards for raising horses or vegetables; who could hunt, fish, or climb rocks; who could fix cars, restore woodwork, raise great kids, or sell insurance. Some are expert parents, expert listeners, or expert fun-seekers. Whatever your expertise, you must have become an expert through first-hand experience, not just by reading about it or doing research online. Describe your area of expertise and teach your readers some of the things you’ve learned about it.
