• Define inclusion and explain what is considered to be best practices for special education students.
• Describe why inclusion is an ethical issue.
• Analyze your role in the rules, codes or classroom expectations in relation to NAEYC’s standards and code of ethics.

• Provide one example of how a child with special needs would benefit from inclusion.

This number 2 discussion question for this class and on how she want it

Welcome to Unit 4! Please read before posting! this the instrution on how she want it

In this unit’s DB, I know there are some of you who are already smiling because performance and the arts are near and dear to you! We are looking in this unit at the value of drama, dance, art, music, creative language, and physical performance.

Your post for this unit should have at least four paragraphs.

You should have a paragraph to explain what the differences might be between a classroom that includes the arts in their curriculum and a classroom that does not.

You should have a paragraph in which you select an artist that will interest the children. In this paragraph, you will identify the artist and then describe a developmentally appropriate activity that you can implement that will focus on one of the artist’s paintings. Share the materials, objectives, and procedure.

In your third paragraph, you will choose a story that will interest the children. Plan how you will introduce the story and share what props, costumes, and characters are necessary. Discuss the most effective way to tell the story.

In your final paragraph, you will share which of the cognitive theorists’ ideas relate to how you feel children learn best and share supporting detail to explain your thoughts.

Drama, dance, art, music, creative language experiences, and physical performance not only introduce culture into a classroom, but also extend higher level thinking skills and broaden global horizons. Additionally, these facilitate cognitive development and language skills.

For example, a play requires repetitive script reading and develops dramatic voice, improving reading ability and speaking skills. Or, physical movement aligns better with the intelligence of some students, increasing endorphins for all students, and creates a more positive classroom environment.
