Overview:Â Begin each assignment by going through the material in the Lessons. Particularly, be sure to view the TED talks. Note that the TED talks are scene-setters that provide a background or alternate perspective to the topic, and are not reviewed in the assignment unless otherwise noted.Â

Ensure that you do not make any repeat errors in your papers. Your papers will be heavily discounted or returned for resubmission if you do not show an effort to improve your work.

Assignment:Â Provide an approximate 1000-word overview and explanation of the important concepts in the readings. Assume that you are writing for an uninformed reader that knows nothing about the topic and has not read what you read. Provide an introduction that gives the background of the resource you’re reviewing, so the reader will understand what they’re reading and why. Consider the following topics for inclusion in this week’s discussion:
– Describe the King County climate change response plan
– What are the goals of the program?
– What resources are being made available to citizens to enlist their help?
– What metrics are being tracked to determine progress?
Additionally, consider your community. What concepts from the King County plan could be used to help your own community mitigate and adapt to climate change? Provide a Recommendation section that illustrates what your community could learn from King County.
