interplay between morals, ethics, and laws within the criminal justice realm. This is your chance to pick an issue that relates to an ethical issue in criminal justice. When thinking about a topic for your paper, your should consider the following:
A clear and concise statement of your issue. This should be no more than one or two sentences.
Your issue MUST deal with all three ideas (law, morals, and ethics) that we will use this semester in discussing ethical issues.
Your issue must be related to an issue in criminal justice.
You must be able to identify at least one applicable law or rule with your issue. A law may include a rule of criminal procedure or evidence. This is not all inclusive. If you can find something else that is applicable, please feel free to use it.
Your topic must be well thought out. You must make be able to defend your thesis through the use of sources as well as opinion. This is NOT AN OPINION paper. While your opinion is an important part of this project, I am not looking for an entire paper based solely on your opinion. This is important to remember when coming up with a topic for your paper.
Abstract:
Your abstract should be a 2-3 paragraph synopsis of the basic fundamentals of your paper. It should describe your basic premise or issue; it should briefly describe each of the elements you’re describing; it should contain your conclusion, at least insofar as you know prior to writing your paper.
