Describe movie-going and movie-watching experience

Essay topic:

Describe a movie-going/movie-watching experience* that was important to you. Reflect on elements specific to the movie itself (story, cinematography, emotions generated etc.) and those that derived more from the context of watching (with friends or family, as a holiday ritual, the place where you watched, etc.). In other words, what do you remember and – more importantly – why do you remember it? You might consider as well how this memorable experience shaped your movie tastes (and even, perhaps, your sense of yourself). But your primary focus should be your responses to what was on the screen. In constructing the essay, you might begin with narrative – the context of the viewing – and then move into analysis, building from least significant elements/responses to the most significant. Be thorough. Use terms from our text, when appropriate. Use the personal pronoun.
