Because this is the first time RRE International established a presence in the United States, it seeks your law firm’s guidance in determining what permits might be needed and what issues it may face in obtaining authority to construct its facility and undertake operations. The Company believes it will need permits for the various parts of its operation as it intends to build and operate the smelter, to construct outfalls that will discharge into the Long Trout River, and store and transport hazardous waste to a TSDF. Additionally, the Company is concerned about opposition from residents in the surrounding community who may oppose the building of the facility, and also the reaction of state and local officials to locating the facility in their area.
