Other elements that make public health programs effective include timeliness; location; communication methods; community engagement; stakeholder support; administration methods (for example, if a program required vaccinating school-aged children, did the parents have to take the children to a clinic, or was the vaccine administered at school?); adequate resources, including staff, finances, and materials; and well-trained staff that understand the local community, culture, and language.
