Please read the article by Brian Golden, Transforming Healthcare Organizations. The article walks through the four stages of leading change using the implementation of Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) as an example.
Please think of an organizational change (real or theoretical) and discuss how the four stages of leading change were or were not successfully implemented. Comment on if the outcome of the change and the role of leadership.
Working with Governing Boards (Leadership Competencies)
The CEO often reports to the Board of Directors. Boards of Directors are a critical part of leadership in health care and may serve different roles in different organizations. There has been increased scrutiny on the proper training and expectations of Board membership.
